a tag blanket for e

The last few weeks of my pregnancy really seemed to drag on...and on...and on. I tried staying busy but never knowing exactly when she'd make her arrival, I hesitated to take on any large or involved projects. This project, based on a pattern from Lotta's Simple Sewing for Baby book, was a nice and easy one - started and finished in 20 minutes flat.

I got gifted several little "taggies" by friends and relatives so I'm sure that this will also be a hit when the time comes. And I loved that I was able to use my Sarah Jane Children at Play balloon print. I hoard Sarah Jane fabric like it's my job. (And I did this prior to having a child, so that's a real committed addict right there. )

I made one for my cousin, who's baby is a bit older than E, and so far it was very well received by her little one. Since these are so quick and easy, I think that these might get added to the "new baby gift" repertoire as well!
